That hasn’t happened yet, but getting git running just got a whole lot easier. WinGit-0.1-alpha.exe is an installer that has everything you need to start using git on Windows. You end up with a desktop shortcut that opens a command window with git ready to go. It’s a huge improvement in ease of use! As for speed… well, it’s still slow compared to git on Linux/Unix, but better than Cygwin. I have high hopes for the future of git on Windows.
